President

Julie is the visionary, artist, and President of ArtEcoTech. She has been actively involved in the development of the regional arts community for over 30 years. She enjoys seeking new challenges and strives to develop, implement and build cross institutional relationships. She has cultivated an excellent working relationship with local, regional, national and international arts programs and media. These relationships have enabled the funding of programming through grants and corporate and private donors, the creation of innovative programming, international recognition and the advancement of the regional arts community.

Kim Wilhite

Kim Wilhite

Secretary

Kimara Wilhite is a photographer living in New Albany, IN. She is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Equine Photographers Network, Louisville Visual Art Association, and Art Seed New Albany. Her work has been published in magazines and exhibited in numerous exhibitions throughout the United States. Currently her work can be seen at Bourne-Schweitzer Gallery (Formerly James Bourne Gallery) in New Albany, IN.

Treasurer

Kimberly is inventory and facilities management. She recently moved to Clarksville with her husband, Jim. Her artistic interests are in watercolors, acrylics, and chalk pastels. She is passionate about writing poetry and authored two short stories included in a collection published for charity support. Kim enjoys involvement in church and community.

Rebecca West

Intern

Rebecca is an Indiana native and who received a BFA in Printmaking from Indiana University Southeast in 2020. She started her internship at ArtSeed in October 2018, and has since joined as staff. She participates in running workshops, runs individual tutoring sessions, and assists with organizational duties, social media, and promoting events at ArtSeed. Her educational background includes screen printing, intaglio and relief printmaking, and painting. 

Amber Simler

Media Specialist

Amber is currently a student at Purdue Polytechnic Institute of New Albany and graduated valedictorian from Lanesville Jr/Sr High School in 2018. Though she has only been working with Julie Schweitzer for less than a year as a media specialist, she has been avidly making changes to her digital platform by assisting with updates to the ArtSeed website, redesigning the Bourne-Schweitzer Gallery site upon her joining with Jim Bourne, and creating the newly-rebranded site for ArtEcoTech. Amber has experience with digital media, as well as a love and passion for traditional arts such as drawing, painting, and sculpting. Tristan Buchanan

Intern

Tristan is a 15 yr old self taught artist that specializes in traditional cartoon and graffiti artworks. Tristan also does photography with a digital camera and is always learning new ways to improve in his artwork and photography.
